An Adaptive Fiber Section Discretization Scheme for Nonlinear Frame Analysis

چکیده

The paper proposes an adaptive fiber section discretization scheme for inelastic frame elements. uses cubature rules the efficient and accurate evaluation of response over elastic portion section. As strains arise penetrate into from edges, converts area under to a regular discretization. This approach offers considerable advantages computational efficiency large structural models with elements by minimizing number integration points in sections limited response. proposed is presented circular rectangular cross sections, but applicable other shapes. Inelastic examples demonstrate benefits nonlinear history analysis models.
